I would also like to mention that my expenses with the Odyssey are considerably lower than that of the traditional equipment. I am just now getting ready to change out the 5 gallon micro drum of soap after 2300 washes. It also appears that my water usage is about 50% less with the Odyssey. With the Odyssey I am also charging a premium price over the touch-free automatics. Increased revenue, cleaner cars, and lower expenses…it’s a winning combination!

I bought a five bay self-serve car wash that was doing about $500 per month per bay. I converted one self-serve bay to a D&S 5000 and that bay went from $500 to $8,000 per month. The other self-serve bays went from $500 to $1,200 per bay per month. The whole wash does better because the self-serve and automatic compliment each other. The vacuum revenue increased as well. The D&S 5000 brought new life into my wash. My customers love the powerblaster feature.

"Our equipment performs really well. We haven't had any trouble with the D&S 5000 or self-serve equipment, and once we got beyond the learning curve of the new machine (Super 5000) we haven't had any problems. Most of them are minor, that we can handle ourselves.

The Super does a much better job on smaller vehicles and is "dead on" when measuring. It does a really good job consistently measuring the vehicle. Any time you can get within 18 inches of the vehicle you are going to get a better quality wash.

"The D&S 5000™ became a great cross merchandising tool along with gasoline that gave us another profit center for our stores.

We use island card readers at the pumps where people who are buying with a credit card can buy at the end of their gasoline purchase a discounted carwash at any of the levels.
